Re: [DIS2022] Regarding presenting talk virtually in DIS2022
by asmita@phy.iitb.ac.in
Dear Nestor,
Thanks. I myself cannot travel to EU at present. 270 days will have
elapsed after second dose of covid vaccine by this month. EU will
consider me unvaccinated and will not give me visa. On the other hand
Indian government is allowing a booster dose only to people who are over
60. So I cannot get a booster dose either. Unless such issues are
settled, it is impossible for Indians to travel.

Re: [DIS2022] Regarding presenting talk virtually in DIS2022
by asmita@phy.iitb.ac.in
Dear Organizers and WG conveners,
This is a request to consider allowing PhD students from countries
like India to present talks virtually in the upcoming DIS-22. As
pointed out by a student already, travelling is still not normal due
to covid situations in many countries. Although most Indians have now
got two covid shots, booster doses are still not available. There is
also an ongoing war, in which thousands on Indian students are
stranded in Ukraine. Parents of many students won't want their kids
to go abroad in this case.
Kindly consider it.
Thanks and regards, Asmita

Re: Travel constraints
by yoshitaka hatta
Hi Andreas,
Please check with your European collaborators if they can attend in person
and present the proton mass stuff.
If this doesn't work, we seek the possibility for a remote presentation.

Abstract Acceptance notification (#144), hope to have online participation
by Shunzo Kumano
Dear WG5 Conveners,

> If you cannot attend yourself, please provide any co-author that is
able to come to Santiago.
Thank you for accepting our contribution as a talk in a WG5 session.
Due to the colonavirus situation, we cannot travel to Europe from Japan.
Furthermore, the Russian situation makes it more difficult to travel.
My collaborator Qin-Tao Song is in France; however, he needs to stay
at the Ecole Polytechnique because of the funding restriction of China
to visiit France.
Therefore, the actual participatin is not possile for me and my
collaborator,
so that I would like to have a remote online talk. I am sorry for this reply
although the organizors would like to have the in-person conference.
Because I do not have lectures on May 2, May3-5 are holidays in Japan,
and the Friday lecture is in the morning, so there is no restriction about
my talk time, except that the late at night (or very early morning)
is not favorable.
Best Regards, Shunzo Kumano

Fwd: [Indico] Abstract Acceptance notification (#139)
by Xilin Liang
Dear conveners,
I’m Xilin Liang. I can confirm that my parallel talk (ID 139) will be presented in the meeting. But the speaker for this talk is still undetermined because the primary author (speaker) Xilin Liang is unable to attend the meeting in person. So the final decision for the speaker will be determined once whether the hybrid mode (remote participant) is allowed or not.
Please let me know if you have more questions. Thank you!
Best regards,
Xilin

Dear Tom and WG1 conveners,
Thanks for taking in the three abstracts. We will take care of 237 and
others.
Sorry I should have sent you the abstract of 373. I noticed my fellow
convener just sent you.
Concerning the three abstracts you suggested, indeed these look more
relevant to our WG. We can accept 132 and 377
(not sure why 132 is meant for "plenary").
As for the theory abstract 362, we probably do not accept it as a talk, but
we can consider it for a poster presentation.

DIS2022 is the 29th in the series of annual workshops on Deep-Inelastic Scattering (DIS) and Related Subjects. The conference covers a large spectrum of topics in high energy physics. A significant part of the program is devoted to the most recent results from large experiments at BNL, CERN, DESY, FNAL, JLab and KEK. Theoretical advances are included as well. The last four editions were in Stony Brook in 2021 (virtual), Torino in 2019, Kobe in 2018 and Birmingham in 2017; a full list of...

talk at DIS2022
by Rogers, Ted C.
Dear WG5 Conveners,
I am scheduled to give a talk at DIS2022, but my institution (Jefferson Lab) still prohibits me from planning any travel. I was told I should contact you about the possibility of giving a remote talk. Can you please let me know if that would be possible?

Inquiry for DIS 2022 meeting
by Xilin Liang
Dear all,
I’m Xilin Liang. I have some questions regarding to the DIS 2022 meeting registration and presenter change deadline.
1. I’m wondering about the possibility of DIS 2022 attend option. It is possible to allow remote participation since I can’t definitely go to Santiago in person to attend the meeting?
2. I have a parallel talk in working group 5. If it’s really only in person option, I’m wondering the deadline to change the presenter for a parallel talk? Can you provide me the deadline so I can have time to coordinate with the co-author for my talk to determine the presenter?
Thank you so much and look forward to your respond.
Best regards,
Xilin

Dear Conveners,
Sorry, there is a typo in the previous email (remote instead of remove), which may cause some misunderstanding.
What I mean are:
1. I will try to find a collaborator to give the talk for the in-person-only meeting.
2. I would also ask if there is a chance to give the talk remotely.
Best
Yi Yu

Dear Conveners,
Thanks for the acceptance of the abstract "Measurement of longitudinal spin transfer of $\Lambda(\bar{\Lambda})$ hyperon in polarized p+p collisions at $\sqrt{s}=200$ GeV at RHIC-STAR" with ID #204 in track "WG5: Spin and 3D Structure" (Parallel talk).
Unfortunately, due to the covid19 pandemic travel constraint I can not attend the meeting in person.
Please remove my participation if possible.
