The Galician Institute of High Energy Physics (IGFAE) at the University of Santiago de Compostela invites applications for a postdoctoral position in String Theory and related fields.
The successful candidate will work on deformations of integrable models and on deformations of string theory backgrounds with motivations from the AdS/CFT correspondence. Candidates with experience and interests in classical/quantum integrability, non-abelian/Poisson-Lie T-duality, integrable deformations (eta- and lambda-deformations, Yang-Baxter deformations, TTbar deformations, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
The permanent members of the programme String theory and related fields are Jose Edelstein, Javier Mas, Luis Miramontes and Alfonso Ramallo. Riccardo Borsato is currently a junior staff and Daniele Musso is a postdoc. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Riccardo Borsato and will be encouraged to find points of common interest with the other members of the team.
The position is for 3 years and it is expected to start in fall 2019. The position will be funded by the María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence awarded to IGFAE by the Spanish Government, and by the Junior Leader Postdoctoral Fellowship of la Caixa recently awarded to Riccardo Borsato. IGFAE is also a member of the SOMMa alliance (https://www.somma.es).
The deadline for applications is April 7th. Interested candidates should submit via Academic Jobs Online (https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/13411) including:
– a recent CV
– a list of publications
– a statement of research interests compatible with the topics of the call
– three letters of recommendation.
For administrative reasons, this pre-selection made through Academic Jobs Online will be followed by a selection made through the portal of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
Please, send any further question to Riccardo Borsato (riccardo.borsato@usc.es).
