SYMPOSIUM | 6-7th June 2024
Data Science in Fundamental Physics and its bridge to industry & society
The symposium will be organized as a series of 25 min talks with 5 minutes for questions at the end.
There will be time for informal discussions in coffee-breaks.
CONTRIBUTION GUIDELINES & COMMENTS
Talks will be in english. The overall goal of the symposium is to have a diversified sample of cases where Data Science is key in modern society outside fundamental science. Some of the speakers might be former scientists who shifted their career from fundamental research at some point. An example of a talk would be to introduce the company or institution, the general goals, and then techniques and knowledge related to Data Science/Analysis they use, with real examples. How do you build knowledge from data. (This is just a guideline, speakers have full freedom for the contents and organization of the talk). Among the companies presentations, there will be contributions from research institutes to present their work in the same format as the companies.
