Career Development

As part of its new strategic plan, the Institute is consolidating individualized support for its team. Assistance in submitting external calls and the visiting research staff program will be strengthened, and mentoring will be provided to all PhD, postdoc, and junior students.

One of the pillars of the IGFAE's progress in the coming years will be its own HR plan to ensure optimal professional development for the Institute's staff. In this way, and on the path towards greater autonomy, the IGFAE will take the first steps to offer a research career of its own.

To do so, in addition to strengthening the Management Unit, the Institute will appoint an Associate Director of Career and Training. This position will be in charge of organizing recruitment processes, developing the mentoring plan, and coordinating applications for external funding, as well as training and visiting research staff programs.

In order to provide comprehensive care to the Institute's staff, the position of Ombudsperson will be created. This person will ensure the maintenance of an environment conducive to personal development and the care of the physical and mental health of the Institute's members.
