Hi all,
as discussed during cafe (and several people were interested in this) I
would like to get some feedback from esp. non-offline expert about the
apptainer solution. Apptainer should allow to use offline in an easy way
which would especially be interesting for students but also offline
users (not developers) in general. If this works in an easy way this
might have implications in the future, eg there could be no need for
having a standalone ADST independent of Offline anymore.
You will need an installation of apptainer

then can download the offline container here

Some questions that I would have:
* Is it easy to setup for you?
* Can you run a StandardApplication, eg. the RdObserver_AERA?
* Can you open the ADST in an EventBrowser?
* Can you perform a simple analysis, like plotting an energy histrogram
from the ADST?
We are unfortunately lacking good documentation so far. So it would be
great if we can collect important information. There are some

Felix said he used it already, so he is probably the expert right now. I
