Abstracts submitted to WG3 and WG1 for DIS 2022
by Heather Gray
Dear Tom, Klaus, and Barak,
We've done an initial pass on the abstracts submitted to WG3 and wanted to
get in touch with you about some abstracts that have been submitted to both
WG1 and WG3.
- Abstract 24. We would like to see this accepted and we think this could
fit in either, so wanted to check if you have a preference.
- Abstracts 93 and 351. We think that these would fit better in WG1 than
WG3.
- Abstracts 268 and 406. We would like to accept these and think they fit
better in WG3.
- Abstract 264. This was submitted to WG1, 3 and 4, but we think it would
fit best in WG4 (and will get in contact with them).
Let us know your thoughts. We're happy to discuss any of these.
Best wishes,
Adam, Heidi, and Heather

Re: Virtual participation of DIS2022
by ARMESTO PEREZ NESTOR
Dear Yong,
For the moment we plan an in person conference. Please keep your abstract (324) until decision. I inform in cc. the conveners of WG1 of your circumstances. In the meantime you can contact your collaborators, in case one of them would be to able to present your work in person.
Best regards
Nestor

Asunto: [Dis2022-registration] Virtual participation of DIS2022
Hi,
I am currently an assistant scientist at Argonne National Laboratory of the US. I have submitted an abstract to DIS2022, and would like to join the meeting in May. However, since my US visa has expired, I will not be able to travel outside this country without a lengthy renewal process in my home country, which will not be permitted by my institute. Therefore, can I join the meeting virtually?
Thank you very much,
Yong Zhao

by ARMESTO PEREZ NESTOR
Dear Dmitry,
I put the conveners of the WG1 in cc. At present we plan an in person conference. Please keep the abstract and consider the possibility of searching another speaker of the collaboration that can come.
Best regards
Nestor

Dear DIS organizers,
I'm unable to travel to Spain due to foreign travel ban for US
national labs and due to personal visa issues. Is there a way to
participate online? I was looking to give a parallel talk if my
abstract was accepted.
Thank you
Best regards,
Dmitry Kalinkin
