{"id":16076,"date":"2024-08-29T13:52:27","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T11:52:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/~igfae-old\/?p=16076"},"modified":"2024-10-24T18:40:28","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T16:40:28","slug":"igfae-c3-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/~igfae-old\/igfae-c3-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"IGFAE announces the 7th edition of the IGFAE C3 Scientific Communication Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Instituto Galego de F\u00edsica de Altas Enerx\u00edas (IGFAE), a joint centre of the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Xunta de Galicia, announces its 7th IGFAE C3 Scientific Communication Competition. The competition is open to people from all over the world, whose work deals with topics related to Physics, especially in the <a href=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/~igfae-old\/research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IGFAE&#8217;s research areas<\/strong><\/a> (particle, astroparticle or nuclear physics, astrophysics, medical physics or related areas).<\/p>\n<p>The competition is divided into four categories; photography, video, articles and original projects, to which proposals may be submitted in Galician, Spanish or English. A prize of 400 euros will be awarded in each category.<\/p>\n<p>Research staff from public research organisations; PhD, Master&#8217;s and undergraduate students; secondary and high school students and teachers working in the field of physics teaching, as well as outreach professionals and journalists, are particularly encouraged to take part.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this competition is to foster interest in scientific culture and to stimulate the learning of physics and its fundamentals. It is an initiative of the IGFAE&#8217;s Outreach Group, and takes part of the IGFAE&#8217;s 7th Science Week, which will take place in November 2024.
