Os n\u00facleos ex\u00f3ticos, con proporci\u00f3ns extremas de n\u00famero de prot\u00f3ns a neutr\u00f3ns, proporcionan un campo de xogo ideal para abordar cuesti\u00f3ns clave en f\u00edsica nuclear e astrof\u00edsica.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"lead\">\n<li>Como cambia a estrutura dos n\u00facleos coa temperatura, o isosp\u00edn e o momento angular?<\/li>\n<li>Como une a forza nuclear forte aos nucle\u00f3ns nos n\u00facleos at\u00f3micos?<\/li>\n<li>Cal \u00e9 a orixe dos elementos na natureza?<\/li>\n<li>Cales son os procesos nucleares involucrados na evoluci\u00f3n das estrelas?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"lead\">Acceder aos l\u00edmites da carta nuclear \u00e9 un gran desaf\u00edo e requ\u00edrese equipo altamente innovador para chegar a outras rexi\u00f3ns da carta nuclear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">A c\u00e1mara de proxecci\u00f3n temporal e obxectivo activo (ACTAR TPC) \u00e9 un novo sistema de detecci\u00f3n cheo de gas que permitir\u00e1 novos estudos na estrutura e as desintegraci\u00f3ns dos n\u00facleos m\u00e1is ex\u00f3ticos. O uso dun volume de gas que act\u00faa como un medio de detecci\u00f3n sensible e como o obxectivo de reacci\u00f3n en si mesmo (un &#8220;obxectivo activo&#8221;) ofrece vantaxes considerables sobre os detectores e t\u00e9cnicas tradicionais de f\u00edsica nuclear. En f\u00edsica de alta enerx\u00eda, os detectores de TPC atoparon aplicaci\u00f3ns rendibles, pero o seu uso en f\u00edsica nuclear foi limitado.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">Co dese\u00f1o ACTAR TPC, os tama\u00f1os das almofadas de detecci\u00f3n individuais de 2 \u00d7 2 mm2 son os m\u00e1is pequenos que se tentaron en calquera das d\u00faas disciplinas, pero son un requisito para a espectroscop\u00eda nuclear de alta resoluci\u00f3n e alta eficiencia. O correspondente gran n\u00famero de canles electr\u00f3nicas (16.000 desde unha superficie de s\u00f3 25 \u00d7 25 cm) require novos desenvolvementos en electr\u00f3nica de alta densidade e sistemas de adquisici\u00f3n de datos que a\u00ednda non est\u00e1n dispo\u00f1ibles no dominio da f\u00edsica nuclear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">Financiado polo Consello Europeo de Investigaci\u00f3n (ERC) en 2014, ACTAR TPC \u00e9 un ambicioso proxecto responsable do desenvolvemento dun novo e vers\u00e1til sistema de detecci\u00f3n para experimentos con feixes de is\u00f3topos raros en GANIL (Francia) e CERN- ISOLDE (Su\u00edza) e outras instalaci\u00f3ns en todo o mundo. A colaboraci\u00f3n de ACTAR TPC est\u00e1 composta por investigadores e enxe\u00f1eiros de GANIL, CENBG, IPN Orsay en Francia, K.U.
