A proposta bas\u00e9ase na optimizaci\u00f3n dos procesos de fabricaci\u00f3n en diversos sectores grazas \u00e1 radiograf\u00eda con neutr\u00f3ns, cunha tecnolox\u00eda patentada e desenvolvida nos laboratorios do IGFAE.<\/p>\n<p>O reco\u00f1ecemento desta li\u00f1a de apoio para ideas innovadoras, que promoven o Consorcio da Zona Franca de Vigo e a Xunta de Galicia, permitir\u00e1 que REMA Neutron Scanners reciba 25.000 euros de financiamiento. Ademais, o persoal desta startup do IGFAE ter\u00e1 acceso a sesi\u00f3ns de titorizaci\u00f3n, contacto con posibles inversores e co ecosistema de negocios para achegar a proposta ao mercado.<\/p>\n<h4>Ensaios destrutivos con maior precisi\u00f3n que os raios X<\/h4>\n<p>\u201cVemos o que os raios X non ven\u201d, resumen <strong>Yassid Ayyad<\/strong> e <strong>Pablo Cabanelas<\/strong>, investigadores do IGFAE e socios fundadores de REMA Neutron Scanners. A radiograf\u00eda por emisi\u00f3n e detecci\u00f3n de neutr\u00f3ns ten unha capacidade de penetraci\u00f3n moi superior \u00e1 dos raios X, que na actualidade se usan nun 99% dos procesos industriais nos que o proxecto poder\u00eda ter aplicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Esta tecnolox\u00eda est\u00e1 especialmente indicada para materiais densos, como metais (materiais de gran relevancia para a industria 4.0), e permite caracterizar a composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica da mostraxe que se analiza. Debido a esta innovaci\u00f3n, os clientes poder\u00e1n descubrir defectos de fabricaci\u00f3n e detalles na estrutura que non son quen de atopar con outros ensaios ou t\u00e9cnicas non invasivas.<\/p>\n<h4>Un sector en crecemento<\/h4>\n<p>Segundo Yassid Ayyad e Pablo Cabanelas, \u201cos ensaios non destrutivos util\u00edzanse nunha ampla gama de actividades industriais, e o seu mercado medra a unha taxa pr\u00f3xima ao 7% anual\u201d. Ademais, REMA Neutron Scanners centrarase nos procesos de fabricaci\u00f3n aditiva, coa impresi\u00f3n de pezas met\u00e1licas en 3D, que est\u00e1 a crecer un 20% anual.<\/p>\n<p>Para facilitar os servizos aos clientes, a proposta de REMA ofrece radiograf\u00edas por neutr\u00f3ns tanto en laboratorio como in-situ. Isto sup\u00f3n unha achega novidosa a sectores como a obra civil ou as infraestuturas fabr\u00eds (detectando posibles obst\u00e1culos ou calquera tipo de problema nas obras), a fundici\u00f3n (observando con antelaci\u00f3n alg\u00fan deterioro cr\u00edtico nos materiais) ou a sa\u00fade (optimizando o dese\u00f1o e a estrutura de pr\u00f3teses).<\/p>\n<h4>Constituci\u00f3n como spin-off da Universidade de Santiago de Compostela<\/h4>\n<p>Nas vindeiras semanas, REMA Neutron Scanners quedar\u00e1 constituida como spin-off da Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. Este fito contribuir\u00e1 a achegar \u00e1 sociedade as innovaci\u00f3ns cient\u00edficas xurdidas nos laboratorios do IGFAE.<\/p>\n<p>Neste aspecto xoga un papel clave a <a href=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfaedb\/knowledge-technology-transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unidade de Transferencia de Co\u00f1ecemento e Tecnolox\u00eda do IGFAE<\/a>.
