Deste xeito, baixo o paraugas de <a href=\"https:\/\/cordis.europa.eu\/project\/id\/101131928\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ACME<\/strong> (acr\u00f3nimo en ingl\u00e9s do \u2018Centro de Astrof\u00edsica para Estudos Multimensaxeiro en Europa\u2019),<\/a> facilitarase o acceso e intercambio de informaci\u00f3n respecto a infraestruturas de investigaci\u00f3n, instrumentos, datos e co\u00f1ecemento cient\u00edfico.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>O IGFAE, na nova era da astronom\u00eda de multimensaxeiros<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>O IGFAE s\u00famase a este proxecto a trav\u00e9s da <a href=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfaedb\/gl\/experiments\/auger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s\u00faa participaci\u00f3n no Observatorio Pierre Auger<\/a>. Esta enorme instalaci\u00f3n, composta por m\u00e1is de 1.600 detectores espallados en 3.000 km<sup>2 <\/sup>nunha chaira da provincia de Mendoza (Arxentina), \u00e9 a meirande e m\u00e1is precisa infraestrutura dese\u00f1ada para estudar os raios c\u00f3smicos de enerx\u00eda ultra-alta, unhas das part\u00edculas m\u00e1is enerx\u00e9ticas do universo.\u00a0 O investigador Enrique Zas, que forma parte de ACME e do equipo do IGFAE no Observatorio Pierre Auger, apunta: \u201cSomos responsables dos eventos de \u2018multimensaxeiros\u2019, nos que se combina a sensibilidade de Pierre Auger na detecci\u00f3n de raios c\u00f3smicos, neutrinos e fot\u00f3ns cos datos doutros observatorios para estudar obxectos astrof\u00edsicos e eventos c\u00f3smicos dunha nova forma\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>No marco da revoluci\u00f3n que est\u00e1 a experimentar a observaci\u00f3n do cosmos, a astronom\u00eda de multimensaxeiros -na que se centra o proxecto ACME- est\u00e1 a abrir unha nova xanela para observar o universo. Grazas ao avance tecnol\u00f3xico dos \u00faltimos anos, hoxe \u00e9 posible observar un mesmo evento c\u00f3smico con diferentes sinais, ou mensaxeiros, como a radiaci\u00f3n electromagn\u00e9tica, as ondas gravitacionais e as emisi\u00f3ns de neutrinos ou raios c\u00f3smicos. Esta informaci\u00f3n complementaria axuda a entender os complexos mecanismos de alta enerx\u00eda que acontecen nestes eventos.<\/p>\n<p>Nos \u00faltimos anos, a trav\u00e9s da s\u00faa \u00e1rea de investigaci\u00f3n en Part\u00edculas C\u00f3smicas e F\u00edsica Fundamental, o IGFAE asumiu tarefas de responsabilidade en proxectos como o Observatorio\u00a0Pierre Auger (onde o investigador Lorenzo Caz\u00f3n \u00e9 coordinador\u00a0cient\u00edfico e Jaime Alvarez-Mu\u00f1iz e responsable da detecci\u00f3n de neutrinos e fot\u00f3ns). Neste proxecto, financiado con 15 mill\u00f3ns de euros, participan 40 instituci\u00f3ns de referencia en 15 pa\u00edses, co fin de reforzar a colaboraci\u00f3n a diferentes niveis, para obter as\u00ed unha mellor identificaci\u00f3n dos posibles eventos astrof\u00edsicos e optimizar a s\u00faa observaci\u00f3n e seguimento. Desta forma l\u00e9vanse \u00e1 pr\u00e1ctica as recomendaci\u00f3ns das follas de ruta do Consorcio Europeo de F\u00edsica de Astropart\u00edculas (APPEC) e da Rede de Planificaci\u00f3n e Asesoramento para a Astronom\u00eda Europea (ASTRONET).<\/p>\n<p>ACME est\u00e1 coordinado desde o Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), de Francia, dirixido polo Prof. Antoine Kouchner (CNRS) e codirixido por Paolo D\u2019Avanzo, do Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF) de Italia.
