O Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovaci\u00f3n do Goberno de Espa\u00f1a, a Organizaci\u00f3n de Investigaci\u00f3n de Aceleradores de Alta Enerx\u00eda (KEK) de Xap\u00f3n e a Universidade de Tokio (UTokyo) subscribiron en agosto un memorando de entendemento (MoU) para promover o desenvolvemento deste telescopio internacional.<\/p>\n<p>O obxectivo deste proxecto, que comezar\u00e1 a operar en 2027 en Kamioka (Xap\u00f3n), \u00e9 demostrar a teor\u00eda asociada a unha propiedade esencial dos neutrinos que explicar\u00eda o desequilibrio entre a produci\u00f3n de materia e antimateria no inicio do Universo. Este proxecto liderar\u00e1, durante as pr\u00f3ximas d\u00faas d\u00e9cadas, a exploraci\u00f3n dos procesos termonucleares que dan lugar \u00e1 enerx\u00eda do Sol e a dos procesos previos ao colapso de estrelas que xeran as supernovas.<\/p>\n<p>O detector Hyper-Kamiokande ter\u00e1 previsiblemente unha masa oito veces maior que o seu predecesor, o Super-Kamiokande, e estar\u00e1 equipado con fotosensores de alta sensibilidade recentemente desenvolvidos.\u00a0 O orzamento da construci\u00f3n foi aprobado no Parlamento de Xap\u00f3n en febreiro de 2020, que marcou o inicio oficial do proxecto.\u00a0 A construci\u00f3n iniciouse en maio de 2021 coa escavaci\u00f3n do t\u00fanel de acceso ao espazo experimental.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11970\" style=\"width: 396px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfaedb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hyperkamiokande.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11970\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-11970\" src=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfaedb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hyperkamiokande.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"386\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfaedb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hyperkamiokande.jpg 1254w, https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfaedb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hyperkamiokande-300x228.jpg 300w, https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfaedb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hyperkamiokande-1024x778.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfaedb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hyperkamiokande-768x584.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 386px) 100vw, 386px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-11970\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hyper-Kamiokande (Hyper-K) \u00e9 un detector Cherenkov acu\u00e1tico situado nun xigantesco tanque subterr\u00e1neo que cont\u00e9n 260.000 toneladas de auga. O seu predecesor Super-Kamiokande (Super-K) ten 50.000. Cr\u00e9dito: colaboraci\u00f3n Hyper-Kamiokande.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Participaci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola e contribuci\u00f3n do IGFAE en Hyper-Kamiokande<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En total, son dezanove pa\u00edses os interesados en participar neste proxecto liderado por Xap\u00f3n. Espa\u00f1a \u00e9 o segundo pa\u00eds en asinar o MoU, tras a firma de Polonia en febreiro. O Consorcio Hyper-Kamiokande espa\u00f1ol est\u00e1 formado por nove instituci\u00f3ns: o <strong>Instituto Galego de F\u00edsica de Altas Enerx\u00edas (IGFAE) da Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC)<\/strong>, o Centro de Astropart\u00edculas e F\u00edsica de Altas Enerx\u00edas (CAPA) da Universidade de Zaragoza, o Centro Internacional de F\u00edsica de Donostia (DIPC), o Instituto de F\u00edsica de Altas Enerx\u00edas (IFAE),\u00a0 o Laboratorio Subterr\u00e1neo de Canfranc (LSC), a Universidade Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid (UAM), Universidade de Xirona (UdG), Universidade de Oviedo (UO) e a Universidade Polit\u00e9cnica de Valencia (UPV). Est\u00e1 previsto que estas instituci\u00f3ns contrib\u00faan a trav\u00e9s do desenvolvemento, produci\u00f3n e instalaci\u00f3n das cubertas de protecci\u00f3n do fotosensor, o sistema de ventilaci\u00f3n, o sistema de compensaci\u00f3n geomagn\u00e9tica, m\u00f3dulos de circu\u00edtos electr\u00f3nicos, fontes de radiaci\u00f3n para calibraci\u00f3n e diferentes elementos do detector pr\u00f3ximo.<\/p>\n<p>Unha parte da contribuci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola ao proxecto HKK ser\u00e1 financiada con fondos do Plan de Recuperaci\u00f3n, Transformaci\u00f3n e Resiliencia (PRTR), como unha das actuaci\u00f3ns da li\u00f1a de fortalecemento das capacidades, infraestruturas e equipamentos dos axentes do Sistema Espa\u00f1ol de Ciencia, Tecnolox\u00eda e Innovaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s da promoci\u00f3n de novas actuaci\u00f3ns en grandes infraestruturas de investigaci\u00f3n europeas e internacionais.
