El objetivo de la colaboraci\u00f3n internacional de R3B es desarrollar y construir un equipo de reacci\u00f3n vers\u00e1til con alta eficiencia, aceptaci\u00f3n y resoluci\u00f3n para mediciones cinem\u00e1ticamente completas de reacciones con haces radiactivos de alta energ\u00eda. El equipo se ubicar\u00e1 en el plano focal de la rama de alta energ\u00eda del Super-FRS. La configuraci\u00f3n experimental se basa en un concepto como la configuraci\u00f3n de reacci\u00f3n R3B\/LAND existente en GSI introduciendo mejoras sustanciales con respecto a la resoluci\u00f3n y un esquema de detecci\u00f3n extendido, que comprende la detecci\u00f3n adicional de part\u00edculas de retroceso de luz (tipo objetivo) y un espectr\u00f3metro de fragmentos de alta resoluci\u00f3n. El equipo se adapta a las energ\u00edas de haz m\u00e1s altas (correspondientes a una rigidez magn\u00e9tica de 20 Tm) provistas por el Super-FRS aprovechando la transmisi\u00f3n m\u00e1s alta posible de haces secundarios.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">La configuraci\u00f3n de R3B cubrir\u00e1 los estudios de reacci\u00f3n experimentales con n\u00facleos ex\u00f3ticos muy alejados de la estabilidad, lo que permitir\u00e1 un amplio programa de f\u00edsica con haces de is\u00f3topos raros con \u00e9nfasis en la estructura y din\u00e1mica nuclear. Tambi\u00e9n se comprenden los aspectos astrof\u00edsicos y las aplicaciones t\u00e9cnicas. Para cubrir un programa de f\u00edsica tan grande, se planifican varios subsistemas de detecci\u00f3n diferentes, as\u00ed como un sofisticado sistema DAQ y un software de an\u00e1lisis de datos (ver m\u00e1s abajo).
