Los n\u00facleos ex\u00f3ticos, con proporciones extremas de n\u00famero de protones a neutrones, proporcionan un campo de juego ideal para abordar cuestiones clave en f\u00edsica nuclear y astrof\u00edsica.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"lead\">\n<li>\u00bfC\u00f3mo cambia la estructura de los n\u00facleos con la temperatura, el isosp\u00edn y el momento angular?<\/li>\n<li>\u00bfC\u00f3mo une la fuerza nuclear fuerte los nucleones en los n\u00facleos at\u00f3micos?<\/li>\n<li>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es el origen de los elementos en la naturaleza?<\/li>\n<li>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son los procesos nucleares involucrados en la evoluci\u00f3n de las estrellas?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"lead\">Acceder a los l\u00edmites de la carta nuclear es un gran desaf\u00edo y se requiere equipo altamente innovador para llegar a otras regiones de la carta nuclear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">El objetivo activo y la c\u00e1mara de proyecci\u00f3n del tiempo (ACTAR TPC) es un nuevo sistema de detecci\u00f3n lleno de gas que permitir\u00e1 nuevos estudios en la estructura y las desintegraciones de los n\u00facleos m\u00e1s ex\u00f3ticos. El uso de un volumen de gas que act\u00faa como un medio de detecci\u00f3n sensible y como el objetivo de reacci\u00f3n en s\u00ed mismo (un \u00abobjetivo activo\u00bb) ofrece ventajas considerables sobre los detectores y t\u00e9cnicas tradicionales de f\u00edsica nuclear. En f\u00edsica de alta energ\u00eda, los detectores de TPC han encontrado aplicaciones rentables, pero su uso en f\u00edsica nuclear ha sido limitado.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">Con el dise\u00f1o ACTAR TPC, los tama\u00f1os de almohadillas de detecci\u00f3n individuales de 2 \u00d7 2 mm2 son los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os que se hayan intentado en cualquiera de las dos disciplinas, pero son un requisito para la espectroscopia nuclear de alta resoluci\u00f3n y alta eficiencia. El correspondiente gran n\u00famero de canales electr\u00f3nicos (16.000 desde una superficie de solo 25 \u00d7 25 cm) requiere nuevos desarrollos en electr\u00f3nica de alta densidad y sistemas de adquisici\u00f3n de datos que a\u00fan no est\u00e1n disponibles en el dominio de la f\u00edsica nuclear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">Financiado por el Consejo Europeo de Investigaci\u00f3n (ERC) en 2014, ACTAR TPC es un ambicioso proyecto responsable del desarrollo de un novedoso y vers\u00e1til sistema de detecci\u00f3n para experimentos con haces de is\u00f3topos raros en GANIL (Francia) y CERN-ISOLDE (Suiza) y otras instalaciones en todo el mundo. La colaboraci\u00f3n de ACTAR TPC est\u00e1 compuesta por investigadores e ingenieros de GANIL, CENBG, IPN Orsay en Francia, K.U.
