Dada a magnitude do proxecto e a s\u00faa complexidade cient\u00edfica, t\u00e9cnica e financeira, \u00e9 precisa unha colaboraci\u00f3n estreita a todos os niveis. Neste proceso, o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdti.es\/noticias\/cdti-innovacion-consulta-preliminar-mercado-compra-publica-precomercial-futuro-colisionador-fisica-particulas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CDTI impulsa o procedemento da consulta preliminar ao mercado e a Compra P\u00fablica Precomercial<\/a>; a Xunta, a trav\u00e9s da Axencia Galega de Innovaci\u00f3n, act\u00faa como comprador p\u00fablico; e o IGFAE, como promotor cient\u00edfico t\u00e9cnico, \u00e9 o centro de co\u00f1ecemento que define, monitoriza e valida o prototipo.<\/p>\n<p>Coa finalidade de chegar a constru\u00edr en Galicia dito prototipo, l\u00e1nzase xa<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/contrataciondelestado.es\/wps\/portal\/plataforma\/buscadores\/detalle\/!ut\/p\/z1\/jY9JD4IwEIV_kem0lCJH1lIEQVmUXgiJiSFhMYr8fovRo8vcXubNN-8hiY5IDs3cnpupHYemU7qSrKZe4jh-QGCdaS6QyC0KFiySoBIdflmkWsOHsUDdy6dF1xxahmXKMsEBROC7UYF14IS9DF8Ylcpg1Fbp7SxhapDYe5UhTOM85QQDMFQM47VXfbKF1Z7mzhmH272bGlQRYCY1MSVvDOcgsM2B4s3WBZYaXujt8uXTn5hL75tiVfV1nFsPuhP7Kg!!\/dz\/d5\/L2dBISEvZ0FBIS9nQSEh\/\">a consulta preliminar ao mercado<\/a><\/strong> para que as empresas interesadas na fabricaci\u00f3n do mesmo poidan expresar o seu interese ata o d\u00eda 9 de xullo. O <a href=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfae\/conference\/2307\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pr\u00f3ximo 23 de xu\u00f1o celebrarase na sede do IGFAE<\/a>, en Santiago de Compostela, unha xornada para explicar a axentes interesados as claves de participaci\u00f3n neste proceso, as\u00ed como os obxectivos e o alcance que ter\u00e1 no \u00e1mbito galego, nacional e internacional. Os interesados en participar poden inscribirse xa na <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/xornadas.galiciainnovacion.es\/CPMcolisionadorParticulas\/\">seguinte ligaz\u00f3n habilitada.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Publicaci\u00f3n integrada\" src=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/embed\/feed\/update\/urn:li:share:7470405715422265344?collapsed=1\" width=\"504\" height=\"512\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A trav\u00e9s desta consulta, b\u00fascase co\u00f1ecer o grao de desenvolvemento de tecnolox\u00edas novidosas e relevantes no \u00e1mbito dos colisionadores de part\u00edculas para facer o prototipado completo e preindustrializaci\u00f3n dunha secci\u00f3n representativa do Futuro Colisionador Circular (FCC-Future Circular Collider). Esta consulta marca o inicio do proceso de compra p\u00fablica innovadora na modalidade de contrataci\u00f3n precomercial levada a cabo polo CDTI e destinada a articular a participaci\u00f3n de empresas e outros axentes do ecosistema de I+D+i neste reto.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Un prototipo para unha \u2018maqueta\u2019 de 43 metros<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Co fin de dese\u00f1ar e probar todas as compo\u00f1entes da primeira fase do futuro FCC, est\u00e1 prevista a construci\u00f3n dunha maqueta de 43 metros de lonxitude, na que se ensamblar\u00e1n os prototipos que se desenvolver\u00e1n nos respectivos pa\u00edses implicados no proxecto. Cando se constr\u00faa o FCC, deber\u00e1 replicarse ata 2.000 veces esta maqueta, concibida como unha unidade b\u00e1sica, chamada cela de arco (<em>arc cells<\/em>), ata completar toda a circunferencia.<\/p>\n<p>Cada unha destas celas contar\u00e1 con im\u00e1ns dipolares para curvar o feixe das part\u00edculas, as\u00ed como im\u00e1ns cuadrupolares e sextupolares que enfocan e desenfocan este feixe. Estes \u00faltimos est\u00e1n contidos nunha subunidade, chamada Secci\u00f3n Recta Corta (Short Straight Section \u2013 SSS), que \u00e9 o obxecto concreto desta proposta. Para este fin, desenvolverase un banco de probas cun dese\u00f1o a tama\u00f1o real, que ser\u00e1 ensamblado e comisionado nas instalaci\u00f3ns do propio IGFAE, para ser logo validado no propio CERN.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>O retorno industrial, un obxectivo fundacional do IGFAE<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Segundo destaca o director do IGFAE, Carlos Salgado, este proxecto \u201centronca cun dos obxectivos fundacionais do Instituto, o fomento da actividade industrial en tecnolox\u00edas relacionadas coa f\u00edsica de part\u00edculas\u201d. A construci\u00f3n deste equipamento para o futuro FCC sup\u00f3n un \u201cproxecto tractor\u201d para Galicia e o seu tecido de I+D+I, tanto na formaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica e t\u00e9cnica como na creaci\u00f3n de emprego altamente cualificado.<\/p>\n<p>O liderado do IGFAE nesta iniciativa \u00e9 froito da longa colaboraci\u00f3n do IGFAE co CERN (Organizaci\u00f3n Europea para a Investigaci\u00f3n Nuclear), que se remonta \u00e1 \u00faltima d\u00e9cada do s\u00e9culo XX. M\u00e1is dun terzo do persoal do Instituto est\u00e1 adscrito ao CERN; principalmente, na \u00e1rea experimental a trav\u00e9s da colaboraci\u00f3n LHCb (\u00e1 que hai que<a href=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfae\/incorporacion-experimento-cms-do-cern\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> sumar a recente incorporaci\u00f3n a CMS<\/a>), mais tam\u00e9n desde a perspectiva te\u00f3rica.<\/p>\n<p>Neste sentido, <a href=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfae\/inauguracion-nova-sede\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">as novas instalaci\u00f3ns do Instituto, inauguradas en 2025 cun investimento de 5 mill\u00f3ns de euros por parte da Xunta de Galicia<\/a>, permitir\u00e1n establecer nos laboratorios do IGFAE un banco de ensaios para validar os dese\u00f1os, a integraci\u00f3n de sistemas, os materiais\u00a0 e o mantemento e manipulaci\u00f3n dos equipos que se integrar\u00e1n no FCC. Do mesmo xeito, as tecnolox\u00edas desenvolvidas neste proxecto poder\u00edan usarse en futuras instalaci\u00f3ns experimentais al\u00e9n do CERN.<\/p>\n<p>Desde o IGFAE coordinar\u00e1n o proxecto, ademais de Carlos Salgado e Abraham Gallas, o investigador N\u00e9stor Armesto (coordinador da estratexia do Instituto para as novas infraestruturas cient\u00edficas), e o enxe\u00f1eiro Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez Prieto.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Un desaf\u00edo cient\u00edfico e t\u00e9cnico sen precedentes<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/fccis.web.cern.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">construci\u00f3n do futuro FCC<\/a> ser\u00e1 un reto sen precedentes, non s\u00f3 para a f\u00edsica de part\u00edculas, sen\u00f3n para a enxe\u00f1ar\u00eda civil. Cont\u00e9mplase cavar, a 200 metros de profundidade, un t\u00fanel de 91 quil\u00f3metros de circunferencia, no que se acelerar\u00e1n e chocar\u00e1n part\u00edculas ata velocidades pr\u00f3ximas \u00e1 luz, preto do cero absoluto (-273\u00baC) e nun baleiro semellante ao do espazo exterior. O custo estimado \u00e9 de arredor de 15.000 mill\u00f3ns de euros.<\/p>\n<p>Para crear estas condici\u00f3ns, requ\u00edrense instrumentos resistentes a condici\u00f3ns extremas de temperatura, presi\u00f3n e radiaci\u00f3n. Ademais, outro dos grandes retos, segundo destaca o equipo implicado no proxecto, \u00e9 a estabilidade -a escala nanom\u00e9trica- \u00a0e a resistencia a calquera vibraci\u00f3n, co obxectivo de acadar o maior n\u00famero posible de colisi\u00f3ns de part\u00edculas. Igualmente, c\u00f3mpre que calquera intervenci\u00f3n no sistema se realice coa m\u00e1xima eficiencia e automatizaci\u00f3n posibles, reducindo os tempos de inactividade requiridos polo mantemento do acelerador respecto ao actual LHC.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>O FCC: unha porta \u00e1 orixe do universo<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>No mes de maio, <a href=\"https:\/\/home.cern\/the-cern-council-decided-to-update-the-european-strategy-for-particle-physics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">o Consello do CERN actualizou a Estratexia Europea de F\u00edsica de Part\u00edculas<\/a>, confirmando o FCC como a opci\u00f3n predilecta para suceder ao actual LHC unha vez acabe a s\u00faa actividade, a comezos da d\u00e9cada de 2040. A decisi\u00f3n definitiva sobre a s\u00faa construci\u00f3n\u00a0 non se tomar\u00e1 ata o ano 2028, a\u00ednda que a comunidade do CERN traballa desde hai moitos anos no seu dese\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Designing the Future Circular Collider (FCC)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t0ou50ado_4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>O FCC triplicar\u00eda o tama\u00f1o do actual LHC (de 27 a m\u00e1is de 90 km de circunferencia). Isto \u00e9, de ter o seu centro en Santiago de Compostela, os bordos do acelerador estar\u00edan m\u00e1is al\u00e1 de localidades como Negreira, Padr\u00f3n, Vedra ou Sig\u00fceiro, as\u00ed como do aeroporto Rosal\u00eda de Castro.<\/p>\n<p>De sa\u00edr adiante o proxecto, as obras comezar\u00e1n na d\u00e9cada de 2030, coa previsi\u00f3n de entrar en servizo cara a finais dos 2040, e operar ata finais do s\u00e9culo XXI. Unha vez en funcionamento e tras unha fase de colisi\u00f3ns entre electr\u00f3ns e positr\u00f3ns (antielectr\u00f3ns), o FCC poder\u00e1 colidir prot\u00f3ns e outros n\u00facleos at\u00f3micos a unhas enerx\u00edas moito maiores. Todos estos estudos permitir\u00e1n co\u00f1ecer mellor os elementos fundamentais da materia e, posiblemente, responder a alg\u00fans dos enigmas que persisten sobre a orixe do Universo, como a natureza da materia escura que ocupa a meirande parte do cosmos.
