A an\u00e1lise, realizada por Juan Lois Fuentes, estudante de doutoramento egresado do IGFAE, foi supervisada por Beatriz Fern\u00e1ndez Dom\u00ednguez, e contou tam\u00e9n coa participaci\u00f3n de Manuel Caama\u00f1o Fresco, ambos investigadores do IGFAE e profesores da Facultade de F\u00edsica da USC. O traballo liderado polo IGFAE, no que tam\u00e9n participaron o LPC de Caen (Francia), a Universidade de Surrey (Reino Unido) e persoal de GANIL, foi <a href=\"https:\/\/linkprotect.cudasvc.com\/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fwww.ganil-spiral2.eu%2fwp-content%2fuploads%2f2025%2f07%2fGANIL_Newsletter_july_2025.pdf&amp;c=E,1,Y5SsCJYBYp4IKSJ7qEizqt_NEzHPq2Ylm3UAlX7Zz4rSNp3WVoUdZYv5hz09B87DP0TKQDdMfZuUv1yBtvlJkR8D921sa8ZAsCA58mLxzosifYK31RMtyshsIw,,&amp;typo=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">destacado recentemente no bolet\u00edn informativo de GANIL<\/a>, &#8220;o que sup\u00f3n un importante reco\u00f1ecemento da relevancia cient\u00edfica do proxecto&#8221;, salientan o equipo galego.<a class=\"zReHs\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Grand_Acc%C3%A9l%C3%A9rateur_National_d%27Ions_Lourds\" data-ved=\"2ahUKEwjj5vO8h7yPAxXRRaQEHV46H8IQFnoECA8QAQ\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tal e como explican, &#8220;os n\u00facleos ex\u00f3ticos, como o <sup>22<\/sup>C, act\u00faan como &#8216;laboratorios de extremos&#8217;, revelando como se comporta a materia en condici\u00f3ns que non se poden reproducir na Terra&#8221;. Isto permite estudar as forzas que unen os n\u00facleos at\u00f3micos e descubrir como se forman os elementos do noso universo.\u00a0Con todo, a exploraci\u00f3n directa do <sup>22<\/sup>C mediante reacci\u00f3ns de transferencia dun s\u00f3 neutr\u00f3n segue estando f\u00f3ra do alcance das instalaci\u00f3ns actuais.Pero si \u00e9 posible mellorar o co\u00f1ecemento deste is\u00f3topo mediante o estudo da evoluci\u00f3n da estrutura da capa nuclear en is\u00f3topos m\u00e1is lixeiros, como o <sup>17<\/sup>C. Deste xeito, perfecci\u00f3nanse os modelos nucleares e af\u00f3ndase na nosa comprensi\u00f3n de por que alg\u00fans n\u00facleos ex\u00f3ticos permanecen unidos, desenvolven halos ou desaparecen por completo.<\/p>\n<p>Neste traballo en concreto, investigouse a capa N=16 nos is\u00f3topos de carbono mediante o exame da estrutura do \u00b9\u2077C, un curm\u00e1n m\u00e1is lixeiro do \u00b2\u00b2C. Utilizando o espectr\u00f3metro LISE de GANIL, o equipo produciu estados excitados do \u00b9\u2077C mediante a reacci\u00f3n de transferencia de neutr\u00f3ns (d,p), cun branco de deuterio. A an\u00e1lise realizada por Juan Lois Fuentes revelou que a capa enerx\u00e9tica N=16 persiste mesmo en condici\u00f3ns de desequilibrio extremo entre neutr\u00f3ns e prot\u00f3ns, o que desaf\u00eda as predici\u00f3ns te\u00f3ricas actuais. O seguinte paso \u00e9 investigar o <sup>22<\/sup>C utilizando novos dispositivos experimentais e teor\u00edas perfeccionadas.
