La propuesta se basa en la optimizaci\u00f3n de los procesos de fabricaci\u00f3n en diversos sectores gracias a la radiograf\u00eda con neutrones, con una tecnolog\u00eda patentada y desarrollada en los laboratorios del IGFAE.<\/p>\n<p>El reconocimiento de esta l\u00ednea de apoyo para ideas innovadoras, que promueven el Consorcio de la Zona Franca de Vigo y la Xunta de Galicia, permitir\u00e1 que REMA Neutron Scanners reciba 25.000 euros de financiamiento. Adem\u00e1s, el personal de esta startup del IGFAE tendr\u00e1 acceso a sesiones de tutorizaci\u00f3n, contacto con posibles inversores y con el ecosistema de negocios para acercar la propuesta al mercado.<\/p>\n<h4>Ensayos destructivos con mayor precisi\u00f3n que los rayos X<\/h4>\n<p>\u201cVemos lo que los rayos X no ven\u201d, resumen Yassid Ayyad y Pablo Cabanelas, investigadores del IGFAE y socios fundadores de REMA Neutron Scanners. La radiograf\u00eda por emisi\u00f3n y detecci\u00f3n de neutrones tiene una capacidad de penetraci\u00f3n muy superior a la de los rayos X, que en la actualidad se usan en un 99% de los procesos industriales en los que el proyecto podr\u00eda tener aplicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Esta tecnolog\u00eda est\u00e1 especialmente indicada para materiales densos, como metales (materiales de gran relevancia para la industria 4.0), y permite caracterizar la composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica de la muestra que se analiza. Debido la esta innovaci\u00f3n, los clientes podr\u00e1n descubrir defectos de fabricaci\u00f3n y detalles en la estructura que no son capaces de encontrar con otros ensayos o t\u00e9cnicas no invasivas.<\/p>\n<h4>Un sector en crecimiento<\/h4>\n<p>Seg\u00fan Yassid Ayyad y Pablo Cabanelas, \u201clos ensayos no destructivos se utilizan en una amplia gama de actividades industriales, y su mercado crece a una tasa pr\u00f3xima al 7% anual\u201d. Adem\u00e1s, REMA Neutron Scanners se centrar\u00e1 en los procesos de fabricaci\u00f3n aditiva, con la impresi\u00f3n de piezas met\u00e1licas en 3D, que est\u00e1 creciendo un 20% anual.<\/p>\n<p>Para facilitar los servicios a los clientes, la propuesta de REMA ofrece radiograf\u00edas por neutrones tanto en laboratorio como in-situ. Esto supone una aportaci\u00f3n novedosa a sectores como la obra civil o las infraestucturas fabriles (detectando posibles obst\u00e1culos o cualquier tipo de problema en las obras), la fundici\u00f3n (observando con antelaci\u00f3n alg\u00fan deterioro cr\u00edtico en los materiales) o la salud (optimizando el dise\u00f1o y la estructura de pr\u00f3tesis).<\/p>\n<h4>Constituci\u00f3n como spin-off de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela<\/h4>\n<p>En las pr\u00f3ximas semanas, REMA Neutron Scanners quedar\u00e1 constituida como spin-off de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. Este hito contribuir\u00e1 a acercar a la sociedad las innovaciones cient\u00edficas surgidas en los laboratorios del IGFAE.<\/p>\n<p>En este aspecto juega un papel clave la<a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/igfae-ber\/knowledge-technology-transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Unidad de Transferencia de Conocimiento y Tecnolog\u00eda del IGFAE<\/a>.
