Dese xeito, as part\u00edculas producidas son de novo aceleradas. Este descubrimento experimental confirma a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0370269396012488?via%3Dihub\">predici\u00f3n te\u00f3rica<\/a> feita fai 25 anos no Instituto Galego de F\u00edsica de Altas Enerx\u00edas (IGFAE), centro mixto de investigaci\u00f3n da Universidade de Santiago de Compostela e a Xunta de Galicia, polos investigadores N\u00e9stor Armesto, Elena G. Ferreiro, Carlos Pajares, Mikhail Braun e Yuly Shabelski (estes dous \u00faltimos actualmente na Universidade de San Petersburgo). Cr\u00e9dito: Brookhaven National Laboratory.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Cando hai moitas colisi\u00f3ns entre os nucle\u00f3ns dos n\u00facleos at\u00f3micos prod\u00facense efectos entre os seus constitu\u00edntes \u2012os quarks\u2012 que posibilitan a produci\u00f3n de part\u00edculas m\u00e1is enerx\u00e9ticas que a que te\u00f1en os nucleones individuais. Por este motivo, este efecto foi denominado <em>QCD accelerator<\/em> ou acelerador da Cromodin\u00e1mica Cu\u00e1ntica (QCD, polas s\u00faas siglas en ingl\u00e9s), a teor\u00eda que explica a interacci\u00f3n forte ou o comportamento entre os quarks e os glu\u00f3ns.<\/p>\n<p>Ata o de agora as evidencias foran moi d\u00e9biles e as incertezas demasiado altas como para validar o modelo te\u00f3rico do IGFAE. Non obstante, con estas novas medici\u00f3ns, as primeiras en colisi\u00f3ns de n\u00facleos tan pesados como o ouro e o cobre, conf\u00edrmase a predici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs implicaci\u00f3ns deste achado \u2012explica Elena G. Ferreiro\u2012 poden supo\u00f1er un cambio nos modelos actuais utilizados para explicar a composici\u00f3n e formaci\u00f3n dos raios c\u00f3smicos, xa que estas part\u00edculas ultra enerx\u00e9ticas poder\u00edan formarse na atmosfera.
