Through this call, the selected people will be able to begin during the coming months their research trajectory in the facilities of the center, with the tutorship of the scientific staff of the IGFAE. These contracts allow access to advanced training, with the vision of continuing the scientific career with a doctoral thesis.  <\/p>\n<p>The research carried out within the framework of this training will contribute to the scientific areas in which the IGFAE is an international reference, integrating into the daily work of some of the main experimental facilities and theoretical physics collaborations in the areas of High Energy Physics and Nuclear Physics.<\/p>\n<p>Among the functions to be carried out are included the analysis of the advancement of scientific knowledge related to the areas of strategic objectives of the IGFAE, development of new methodological solutions, analysis of new technologies, presentation, discussion and publication of results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applicants must meet the following requirements: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent in disciplines related to Nuclear Physics and High Energy Physics<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Hold a university degree obtained within the three years preceding the start date of the contract, or within the five years preceding the start date in the case of persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Not have had professional experience at the USC in the field of research for a period exceeding three months, nor at any other institution under this type of contract for a period exceeding one year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Submit an up-to-date employment history report issued by the General Treasury of the Social Security (Tesorer\u00eda General de la Seguridad Social).<\/p>\n<p><strong>In addition, the following merits will be valued:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00b7 Average grade for the bachelor&#8217;s degree or equivalent <a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 To enrol in one of the following master&#8217;s programs at the University of Santiago de Compostela for the 2025\u20132026 academic year: Physics or Science and Quantum Information Technologies.<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Any second bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent in disciplines related to nuclear and high-energy physics.<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Curriculum vitae including, where applicable, specific training in the subject areas of the IGFAE<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\"> [2]<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Personal interview<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\"> [3]<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Contract conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; Gross monthly remuneration of \u20ac618.92, applying the proration of extraordinary payments into 12 monthly payments.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Duration: 6 months<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Working day: part\u2011time: 17.5 hours\/week.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Job category: initiating research personnel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prazo de presentaci\u00f3n de solicitudes: <\/strong>ata o martes 9 de xu\u00f1o de 2026 \u00e1s 23.59 horas (CEST)<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for submitting applications: until Tuesday, 9 June 2026 at 23:59 (CEST) <\/p>\n<p>More info: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfae\/en\/jobs\/\">https:\/\/igfae.usc.es\/igfae\/en\/jobs\/<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>About IGFAE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Instituto Galego de F\u00edsica de Altas Enerx\u00edas (IGFAE) of the Universidade of Santiago de Compostela (USC) is a research center accredited as a Mar\u00eda de Maeztu Unit of Excellence by the State Research Agency in the periods 2017\u20132021 and 2024\u20132030. The IGFAE is also part of the CIGUS network of the Xunta de Galicia, which recognizes the quality and impact of its research, and is co\u2011funded by the European Union through the Galicia Feder 2021\u20132027 Program. <\/p>\n<p>It has a team of around 140 people, including more than 20 postdocs and 50 doctoral students. The research staff of the center participates in experimental facilities such as CERN, LIGO, GSI\/FAIR, GANIL, FRIB and the Pierre Auger Observatory. The IGFAE develops programs in both experimental and theoretical physics, and is opening a new research line in quantum science and technology.  <\/p>\n<p>The IGFAE offers a stimulating environment and unique opportunities for professional development.
