The headquarters of the Instituto Galego de F\u00edsica de Altas Enerx\u00edas (IGFAE), a joint center of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) and the Xunta de Galicia, will host the Solenoidal Spectrometer Workshop 2025<\/a> from December 9 to 12. This event brings together the international community working with this type of instrument\u2014essential in particle and nuclear physics experiments\u2014to discuss the most recent advances and future plans in the field.<\/p>\n

Nearly fifty experts in the discipline, coming from institutions in more than a dozen countries, will travel to Santiago de Compostela. Over the four days of the meeting, there will be talks by invited speakers, oral presentations selected by the scientific committee, as well as spaces for debate and discussion.<\/p>\n

Among other topics, the workshop will address the physics advances achieved with solenoidal spectrometers and their applications in nuclear physics, the technological and operational developments of these instruments, the integration design of data-acquisition systems, data-analysis techniques and software tools, and theoretical aspects of low-energy nuclear physics.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis workshop represents a unique opportunity to deepen international cooperation and share the latest advances in this technology, which is essential for experimental physics,\u201d say Cristina Cabo and Yassid Ayyad, from the local organising committee.<\/p>\n
