Dear Tom,

many thanks for your understanding, and for giving me the opportunity to give the talk remotely. I hope there will be no issues and I can deliver the talk.

Best,
Marco

Dear Marco,

Thanks for getting back to us and no problem at all for the delay. There are (limited) possibilities for online presentation, given your circumstances we will therefore put you down for this. We look forward to hearing about your work, please note we have also moved you to the end of the session you were assigned in case there is any issue.

All the best,

Tom for WG1 conveners (Tom, Klaus, Barak)

Dear Tom,

sorry for the very late reply. Unfortunately, the reason for my silence was not covid related, but it was due to family health problems that arose meanwhile. I've waited some time to try to understand how the situation was evolving, and see if I could make it. Unfortunately, the situation isn't improving.
I am really sorry for this, but given these boundary conditions I cannot come to Santiago to participate to the conference in person.
If there is the possibility to give the talk remotely, I think I can do it. Unfortunately I cannot be 100% sure because on May 2 we have a visit which may condition the subsequent days, and I cannot know in advance.
If you feel safer cancelling my talk, I perfectly understand.

I apologise for this inconvenience.
All the best,
Marco

Dear Marco,

We are now contacting speakers to confirm their in person attendance to give the talks, therefore we wondered if there was any update on this for your abstract?

Thanks again,

Tom (for WG1 conveners)

Dear Conveners,

thanks for accepting my contribution.
My plan is to come in person to the conference, hoping that the covid situation does not get worse. Unfortunately this is difficult to predict, and my director cannot confirm my business trip now. I will be able to give you a definite confirmation 3-4 weeks before the conference.

Best,
Marco
