Dear Tom,

It looks like now it might create some issues with authors of 386 and 407,  since   both of them already received “accept’ email from DIS2022.
And I’m sure both of them want to present their work and they will complain.

Please, give us few more days, maybe we could keep both. We need to see if we have some extra time in our  own session.
Nestor promised to send us exact  “time-schedule”

Best, Yulia.

Hi Yulia,

Great, in that case I take it you are happy with that proposed session.

In the case of 386 and 407 you will have to contact Nestor to clone the abstracts so you can merge them and accept the new one in WG6. Similarly, for talks 62, 344, 361, 386 which will have to be converted from posters to talks. However, I have just been contacted by the author of 62 who can no longer attend due to funding issues. Therefore I would suggest to replace it with talk 331 (given we in WG1 have not been assigned any additional talks we would very much appreciate this to give us an extra space). In that case the final list would be

344, 361, 386+407 (407 from WG6 only), 67 (from WG1 only), 331 (from WG1 only) + 415 (from WG6 only).

If you are happy with that please go ahead and organise this session (we will have our own WG1 session to organise simultaneous with this one as Nestor mentioned).

Thanks again,

Tom

Hi Cridge,

I see that 386 is already acceped by WG1, and 407 is already accepted by WG6. So, at this stage it will be impossible to merge via indico. I talked to Anselm, he agrred on this merge , but at this moment it is unclear who will give a talk. Maybe you could discuss again with both of them ( with both speakers).

We will add  #415  to this session.

Best, Yulia

Dear WG6,

Any response to this? Sorry to rush but we are receiving questions from some of these participants, so we wish to resolve this very quickly.

Many thanks,

Tom for WG1

Dear Yulia and WG6 conveners,

Thanks for getting back to us, given a session cannot really be longer than 6 talks in length, we would propose that we take the 4 talks we agree upon that were jointly submitted to our WGs - i.e. 62, 344, 361, 386 (and we are fine for you to merge 407 with this), that leaves two further talks, As we both have lots of talks to consider a fair way to do it then seems for us each to have one talk submitted to our individual WG included here, making up the 6 talks. Please let us know if you agree that this seems a reasonable way to divide this.
In that case we would put talk 67 that we mentioned in here and deal with our talk 331 in our own sessions, please let us know which of your talks (or a merger of two of your talks into one) you would then include.

Thanks again and best regards,

Tom (for WG1 conveners - Tom, Klaus, Barak)

⚠ Caution: External sender

Hi Klaus, all,

We are proposing  to keep 407  ( and merge 386 into 407) - we do not have space for both !
62, 344, 361  are fine  to us.  We propose to  add here 407 ( merged with 386)

It would be good if we could squeeze there couple of more talks from WG6- at the moment we are at the overflow.
for example ,
415 - CORE - a Compact Detector for the Electron-Ion Collider
 0r  298 - ATHENA – A new detector proposed at the Electron-Ion Collider

84 The impact of energy frontier DIS measurements on future hadron collider physics (HL-LHC and FCC-hh)

Your thoughts ?
Best, Yulia

Dear WG6 conveners,

have you come to a conclusion concerning our proposal?
I fear we have to conclude on this rather quickly now.

Thank you and best regards,

Dear WG6 conveners,
Following Nestor's hard work to obtain an additional room and confirmation we can accept a few additional talks for joint sessions earlier today, we are emailing to return to your idea of a joint session between WG1 and WG6 on future experiments. We would propose to include the following talks in this session (some of which we currently only had room for as posters):
62, 344, 361, 386 and also 331("Studying nuclear matter with jets in the sPHENIX experiment at RHIC") and 67 ("Probing free nucleons with (anti)neutrinos") , the first four were all jointly submitted to our WGs originally whilst the latter two were submitted to WG1 on this topic, therefore I include the titles for those two.
Please let us know if this would work for you and if so/not your comments on this. I would also note that currently in WG1 we are occupying one room for the whole of the timetabled parallel sessions, therefore this additional joint session would be parallel to one of our sessions and in addition to WG6's current sessions I believe. We would organise our timetable to ensure the overlapping topics were not of mutual interest.
Many thanks,
Tom (for WG1 conveners - Tom, Klaus, Barak)
