Hi Yang-Ting,

Thanks for contacting us, would it be possible that you find a collaborator to present this talk on behalf of you and your group?

The challenge is we will have a joint top physics session in the Wednesday afternoon session, the several late afternoon slots have been taken by US online speakers. We need to take a further look for the Tuesday sessions. If you don't mind the talk time, we will try to fit your talk, if you would like to give it online, at a later time in the Tuesday session.

Could you remind us your abstract ID, this will help us find your abstract.

           Thanks.

                                                                   Xuan

Dear Nestor and WG convenors,

Thank you again for considering our talk contribution. As the conference dates is quickly approaching, at this moment it is practically quite hard for me to present the talk in person. While I very much understand the value of in-person presentation (I myself actually just organized a hybrid workshop recently and was very much inspired by its in-person component after two years of pandemic), I am wondering if you may still consider including our talk in the program as a remote presentation. Please let me know and I will really appreciate it.

Best regards,
Yang-Ting

Dear Yang-Ting,

While I perfectly understand concerns about the war, war is ~3000 km from here. I am sure you have been closer to a war than this.

After examining the situation at the end of early registration (which will be extended for a week), we will see how many people cannot come by travel restrictions and decide how to deal with it.

I really hope that you are able to attend. Your presence would be most valuable for the conference! On the exact dates of your talk, I do not think that it has already been decided but parallels will run Tuesday to Thursday. The WG conveners can provide further information.

Best regards

Nestor

Asunto: [Dis2022-registration] Possibility of presenting a parallel talk remotely

Dear DIS organizers,

Thank you very much for accepting the abstract "Probing hadronization with flavor correlations of leading particles in jets" we submitted for WG4: QCD with Heavy Flavours and Hadronic Final States. Viewing the international tension and uncertainty caused by the Ukraine-Russia war, I have concerns traveling long distance to Europe from the US and am wondering if there is a possibility of presenting our work remotely, even if the DIS conference may be held in-person. Also, I would like to know the planned date of my session so that I can take it into account when I make a decision about travel. Please let me know and I will really appreciate it.

Thank you and best regards,
Yang-Ting
