This Friday 9th at 11:30 in Aula C we will keep on going with the cordas-club. In this occasion the discussion will be led by Alfonso Ramallo, who will talk to us about the SYK model.

Title: An Introduction to the SYK model

Abstract: The quantum mechanical Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model has attracted attention in the last few years as it belongs to the small set of models exhibiting quantum chaos at the same time as being approximately solvable. We give a short introduction to the basic features of the model and extract the effective action in the large N limit.
