22 Nov New pPb Run at the LHC
On Thursday November 7th 2016, the LHC collided protons on lead ions at the top energy of 8.16 TeV per nucleon-nucleon collision. This is the largest energy ever reached in nuclear collisions in an accelerator. It opens the opportunities for discovery of new phenomena, complementing the estudies previously done at 5 TeV by ALICE, ATLAS,CS and LHCb. See the link.
